Glyn Rhodes MBE has spent more than 40 years as a boxer, trainer, manager and promoter and after collaborating with Mark Turley to tell his story in an explosive autobiography, Olner Pro Sport Media were asked to deliver a range of photographs to illustrate the front cover of his book as well as provide a number of assets to support a merchandising schedule.
We visited Glynn at Sheffield Boxing Centre where he offers boxing and fitness classes to members of the local community and were immediately inspired by a particularly atmospheric and evocative facility with light streaming through high windows upon a boxing ring and numerous punchbags hanging in a dimly lit corner. Using flash lights we captured Glynn in several poses before retouching and creating the artwork for the dust jacket of his book, Beyond Good and Evil.
