As one of only three remaining members of England’s victorious 1966 World Cup squad, Sir Geoff Hurst remained the only player to score a hat-trick in the World Cup Final until Kylian Mbappé matched the feat in 2022. Writing his book, Eighty at Eighty, presented publishers with the opportunity to capture photographs of this truly iconic English sportsman for the dust jacket along with shooting a promotional video.
Olner Pro Sport Media were tasked with visiting a hotel in Cheltenham to set up and photograph Sir Geoff and shoot a short video to promote the launch of his book to coincide with his 80th birthday. Scripted by his long-term friend, Norman Giller, Sir Geoff delivered a polished narrative to camera which was edited and sound optimised for online delivery.
